He is from Yamanashi-shi, Yamanashi. When he was the student of Komazawa University, he did part-time job at Japanese restaurant of Shimokitazawa for 4 years. After graduation, he was charmed by Italy too which he went around by overseas travel when he was student, and he stared to study Italian. Starting from having studied in the popular Italian restaurant “Al Porto” which Mr. Mamoru Kataoka acted as honor, and he visited Italia, and continued studying it in 3 stars restaurant “ENOTECA PINCHIORRI” for three years. For the study times, he has received an appearance offer from “the iron chef”, and has appeared to “the iron chef” as the iron man of the Italian on TV. He won the title of the iron chef at 27 years old, and became independent at 30 years old. He opened the popular Italian Restaurant “RISTORANTE MASSA” in Ebisu.
