He was born in Ikeda-shi, Osaka. He started a basketball from at the time of a junior high school, and gained excellent results. But he quitted the club at second year at University, and left school at the same time. He was charmed by the pleasure of the service of food that he experienced by a part-time job and decided to start a company. He made a plan for 3 years, and launched business at 23 years old as scheduled. He opened the cafe which became the first shop on June 22, 1998.
