Born in Jyoetsu-shi, Niigata. He was good at both study and sports since the days of a child, the junior high school was a national attached school. He was a member of part of the track and field club in junior high school and high school, he was an activity in 800 meters as a reinforcement runner of the prefecture. After graduated from a high school, he entered Hattori nutrition college. He began to learn cooking. At the college, he had a chance going to Europe for the training, and he was interested in Italy, thereafter he began to learn at Italian restaurant. He went back to Niigata, after he had stayed in Tokyo for 7 years. In April, 1993, he opened a Italian restaurant. This became the memorable first store.
