Born in Shizuoka-shi. He lived with his mom, just the two of them. After graduated from the high school, he started to learn about cook at the old Sanno Hotel in Akasaka. He became independent in 1970 and opened “kitchen kuni”. In 1985, he established Kuni Corporation, it led to develop 4 direct stores later. In 1994, he started the development of the low-priced steak shop “pepper lunch”, he realized his longtime idea. He put “pepper lunch” on the pillar of the business. At the present, he develops the main business “pepper lunch” in domestic and foreign, the restaurant business such as “Sumibi steak Kuni” of the order cut steak store, “Katsukitei” of the tonkatsu store, “Stephan grill”, in addition, he performs commodity sales business of such as “Tonkatsu source” “freezing pepper rice”.
