He was born in Shinjuku, Tokyo as the eldest son of the second generation owner Shimura Keisuke of Tempura TSUNAHACHI. He graduated from Keio University Faculty of and Commerce in 1983, March. He joined Tempura TSUNAHACHI in the same year, April. He took office as a director in the same year, October. In November, 1999, he took office as the president and representative director.
